Professional Photography Services in Minchinbury, Blacktown Council, Western Sydney

Rawad Shararah is a professional photographer who creates by the influence of discovery and adventure. When he purchased his first camera he refused to read the manual. He began simply playing with the camera’s settings and before long was shooting on manual. He consumed volumes of YouTube tutorials and with the continuous support and advice of an artistic friend, was then able to capture what he was framing in his imagination.

Photography has always been a passion, a hobby and a challenge of exposing the right colours for him. This is why he finds his magical moments are at sunrise; dusk and dawn, at night; sunset. Rawad rarely takes pictures in broad daylight for his landscape and nature photography.  Behind every photograph he posts online, shares or sells, is ‘100 failed attempts’, teaching him a new technique every day and new settings within his camera. His pride is in this organic process and his greatest joy.

Rawad describes himself as ‘a simple man who loves photography and spending time with my inspiration, a five-year-old named Ainsley’.

Although responsibilities and life itself often steal from his creative opportunities, his constant companion is his Nikon D7200 and Tokina 11-16mm on this journey of photographic discovery.

Rawad regards himself fortunate to have the opportunity to have enough time to practice and capture each moment in front of him. His Real Estate photography and Corporate Photography work allows him to utilise and perfect the skills he has already mastered. Every home, apartment or commercial site is a challenge to capture the best visuals of each space. Every small and medium business team member, every leader, every premises, every asset is an opportunity to help someone brand and promote their dream.

“Photography is not just releasing the shutter, it is imagination, skills, knowledge and perspective; putting it all together, to produce a piece of art.”

How do you approach portrait photography, family photos and professional business portraits?

and and bss business cards and s,Family Photos and Portrait Photography In General

I’m often intrigued and interested to know what story lies behind the eyes of the person in front of my camera. It’s true that a photo speaks a thousand words, and for that, I’m always hungry to capture a personality, tell their story and showcase their emotions through the photograph. Building trust and making the person comfortable taking their photograph is just as important as the lighting, the right choice of background and the right pose.

We, as humans, are super critics when it comes to our photograph being taken, and what the photographer perceives as a good or great photograph of us, doe not necessarily mean that we agree with them or see what they see. This is where trust plays a big role in getting portraits done. I don’t expect people to stand in front of me and pose straight away without walking them through the whole process and finding their comfort zone.

Corporate Headshot Photography

Business portraits are a different kind of photography.  There is a formula for the type of corporate headshot people see all the time on LinkedIn profiles, social media, websites and business cards, etc.  I set up a professional business portrait photo with these techniques and ensure the photos are inline with business branding and best photography practices. As a parallel goal, I aim to capture the honesty and integrity of the person to translate in to trust for the prospective client seeing their professional headshot in a photo online or in print.  This is especially important for small to medium businesses where you showcase the people ‘running the show’.  You want to present them in their best possible light, both personally and professionally.  Their business photographer has two jobs; one is to take the best professional photograph for marketing and the other to capture them as an approachable, friendly and warm business person, someone you want to meet, deal with and particularly and most importantly, trust enough to use their service or buy their product.

What does it mean to be a professional photographer for you?

Being a professional headshot photographer, corporate photographer and lifestyle photographer, one who also captures our environment and life in landscapes and nature, means I am able to express my own unique perspective of seeing the world.  Being able to add my signature style, my feelings, how I am able to look at others and how I see things, this is also very meaningful to me.  It means I am able to capture the world around me and create memories and tell stories, both my own and the stories of those I photograph in natural family photos, portrait photos, business headshots.  I also love reflecting back the beauty within for people.  Helping them to see themselves in a new light or the way their friends and family see them.  My goal is to highlight their best traits, their best features and their best moments.

What inspires you as a professional photographer living in Minchinbury, Blacktown Council?

For the last 5 years, my son has been my biggest inspiration. Being able to capture memories with him on a daily basis is a blessing.

Meeting people and hearing their stories gives me the inspiration and courage to translate what I have heard through a photograph. The opportunity and honour I’m given to showcase them and tell their stories is something I’m very grateful for.

I’m inspired by the world around me, the people I’m surrounded by and my love for photography.

What elements you think made a great portrait photo, family photo and especially in your landscape photography?

What makes a great photograph?

The ability to tell a story, have a connection with the viewer and communicate the photographer’s style and imagination through the photograph. If the portrait lacks the ability to make you feel inspired to stare at it for an extended period of time, in my opinion, it failed to deliver the story.

What makes great landscape photography?

In landscape photography, the foreground is just as important as the background. The decision to have everything in focus, or to add motion blur, to use the water as a reflection or to capture the movement of the clouds differs from one scene to the other.

Mainly I take my photographs during sunrise or sunset, or at night. Long exposure is my best friend when taking landscape or cityscapes. So having movement in my framing works wonders; that’s when I’m able to create light trails using the movement of cars at night, or smoothing the water and the clouds. Since each sunset or sunrise is unique and different, you are bound to capture a different image for the same place every single time.

What you look for when you travel and scout for locations when taking photos of landscapes, famous places, urban spaces, etc?

It’s hard to say that it’s a standard procedure when it comes to landscape or cityscape photography, each location is different. Mainly it’s technical decisions: choice of lens, wide or zoom lens, do I need a filter, do I capture movement or blur it such as people, cars, water, clouds?

Who do you admire as a professional photographer and which famous photographers do you follow and why?

I’m a big fan of Annie Leibovitz, her style, her way of thinking and her experience with working with so many big international people is something to admire. The stories she tells through her photographs are unique and authentic.
